Positioning a professional career with a one-to-many model

PROJECT:

Words That Move Me

Client:

Dana Wilson

WHERE IT ALL STARTED:

When I first met Dana, she was stuck trying to sort out how to best structure her business as both a personal brand and a group coaching platform. She already had an established career as a professional dancer and choreographer under her own name, and a coaching platform where she supported other creatives and aspiring professionals under the brand Words That Move Me. She needed a strategic way for both to stand on their own, with their own websites.

WHERE WE ARE NOW:

Today, both platforms are designed with a specific purpose: her personal brand to support her career as a professional dancer and choreographer while promoting Words That Move Me, and WTMM to serve her coaching clients.

Project Overview

Once we spoke with Dana about her vision, we knew it made the most sense to “split” her platforms.

We redesigned her personal website so that it had its own look, feel, and purpose – tailored to those looking to hire her as a dancer or choreographer, while making the connection between her professional career and her coaching at WTMM.

Words That Move Me is now a standalone platform and brand, built for scale with e-commerce, members only content, and leveraging her name and recognition as a top talent in her field.

IN THEIR OWN WORDS...

When I first started with Amy, I wanting to expand my website to cover the many facets of my business.

After working together, the geography of what I do is laid out crystal clear! My clients can schedule their 1:1s, my online shop looks and works great. And I have an opt-in to my mailing list and a free download!

I love Amy’s diligence, persistence, style of communication, and video tutorials.

To anyone on the fence about working with Amy, I say do it! She’s fast, easy, fun and thorough – my two websites were a big bite and she did a great job!
